What to do with that dead space in the corner of your kitchen? Check out this job we did for a customer this past summer.
The customer did not have a good space to place their microwave. They also wanted a hidden trash can.
We constructed a custom cabinet to match the refacing project. This was a contemporary kitchen design. The doors and door fronts are flat contemporary, gloss acrylic finish called Wired Mercury. The edges of the doors and drawer fronts are also acrylic, but with an aluminum finish.
The custom cabinet installed in the dead space allowed for the microwave to be placed at a convenient height to the electrical switches on the wall and provided a great space for the trash can.
The cabinet also features a pull out spice rack with soft close glides. This is a great solution, it allows for a space for the microwave without taking up needed counter space and provides a space for the trash can that is convenient yet hidden.
